Here are some photos of different things from our winter in the Warm Springs Bay last year.
We have a friend who stores some of his crab gear on what we affectionately call "Waterworld" in one of the arms of the bay.
Jen has wanted to get a couple old crab pots to make a table in our back yard for years. We finally asked Pete if we could have a few from his culled pile of retired pots and he was glad to get rid of them.

Speaking of crab pots, here's a shot Jen took of the moon setting behind the ridge across from the lodge. (Did I mention these shots were going to be random?)
On our big tides, I take the skiff out to pull logs off the beach in Chatham Strait for firewood.
It was a good year for firewood!!!
On this day, I got a "Two-for"--a beautiful Christmas tree and a volunteer log. (A volunteer is a log we find floating in the water. That saves me from having to go ashore and work it down the beach to the water.)

Trying to figure out how to keep all the logs contained. I ended up putting a boom around the area to prevent the logs from escaping on high tides. Even when they are tied up, if there is a swell in the bay, the logs can untie themselves and take off!
We did get some snow this year, but nothing like "the good old days"!

Anytime we ran out of snow to shovel, there was always plenty left over at the townsite!
